Love a bit of Gingham!...

I especially love red and white gingham, whether it be ribbon or fabric. I have often used scraps of gingham fabric on my cards, I love to fray the edges to give it a shabby feel.

But todays card is definitely not of the shabby kind, because its Less Is More challenge day! So CAS is the order of the day, and the challenge is to use the colours of your nation's flag. Well I had a choice of two as living in England we have St George's Cross or the Union Jack, but I went with the first as it meant I could use a gorgeous length of red Gingham ribbon from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.  I used a Waltzingmouse sentiment from the Big Day Additions set (love this font!) and 3 little red chipboard hearts to finish off with.  I have to confess that I wasted one card blank as I got an inky finger print on it (how annoying is that?) so that had to be sent to the scraps box.
I think this is possibly the quickest card I have ever made!

Lastly I thought I would share a little project I made recently for a friend's grandaughter using gingham fabric this time, I love making these bunnies, this one is called Clara. I was very lucky to win the pattern for this little cutie a few years ago and have been making them for gifts ever since.
